Honduras 4.2.16

Hey Marietta!

We woke up this morning at around 7 and had breakfast. We had some fantastic organic cereal and yogurt. After that, we planned the days to come at the kinder and prepared for all the activities and lessons we will be doing. We then ate delicious spaghetti for lunch. We then drove about 30 minutes to the orphanage, passing plenty of pineapple fields along the way. The orphanage was amazing! It was pretty challenging trying to communicate, but after the first awkward 10 minutes, the kids began to really open up and help us out. Everyone got along great and the kids found our Spanglish really funny. The best part was when we didn't know how to say something in Spanish, so we would just make up our own Spanish vocabulary. The kids were super sweet and loved to play. Some of their favorites were soccer, bubbles, and catch. We had a blast at the orphanage and can't wait to go back on Monday. When we got home, we had Las Baleadas which consisted of beans and cheese in a tortilla. Now we are all showering and are super excited to have Bible study on Ephesians and watch the newest Star Wars. We can't wait for the days to come, and are super excited to see what God has in store for us the rest of the week.

Love, Caroline :)
